Interactive Wedding Favors
Wedding favors are a great way to let your guests know how much you appreciate their love, support, and attendance at your wedding ceremony and reception. Many guests will be looking forward to seeing what you have in store for them, so making a good impression is crucial to the memories your guests will have of the entire event. Though many people opt for traditional type of wedding favors such as bottle openers or salt and pepper shakers, a study that was recently conducted by asking wedding guests what they prefer revealed that interactive wedding favors are by far the most popular.
Interactive weddings favors conquer several aspects of the gift-giving spectrum because they let your guests know that you appreciate them being there while at the same time giving them something fun to do. Most traditional wedding favors just end up gathering dust in a drawer or on a shelf, but interactive wedding favors are useful from the moment your guest receives one in their hand. There are several great option available, but I wanted to point out a few of my favorites.
Wedding Sparklers
Wedding sparklers are one of my favorite interactive wedding favors because they really add to the event while making for a fun experience for your guests. You can use them for all sorts of things, but my favorite is to use your wedding sparklers as part of your grand exit. If you aren’t planning a grand exit, they still are a great addition to pictures such as your first kiss or even writing words in the air. You can even buy smokeless sparklers that are safe to use indoors if you are planning your reception to take place inside a hall. Everyone loves sparklers, so they are nothing but fun when you include them on your special day.
Bubbles
Bubbles are another classic wedding favor that is sure to have your guests getting involved. Blowing bubbles is very simple and will take even your oldest guests back to the days of childish fun. One of my favorite ways to use bubbles during a reception is to have all of your guests blowing them while you do your first dance. The pictures your photographer snaps during the dance in a “sea” of bubbles will be both timeless and elegant. Some of my favorite wedding photos of all time use this technique to make them stand out from the others.
Confetti Poppers
Confetti poppers super fun for any event, but they really go over well at weddings. All you need to do is scatter a few party poppers on each reception table and let your guests have at them. The best part about confetti poppers is that you won’t need to explain how to use them to your guests, just when to use them such as during your entrance, first dance, or any other time you think it would be fun to have them part of the celebration. The only downfall is that they can be a bit messy to cleanup, but that isn’t too big of a deal if you are renting a hall because that service should be included.
